UNVEILED AS AMAZON MUSIC’S LATEST
BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST
ACCLAIMED NEW ALBUM CHERRY VALLEY OUT NOW
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rising Nashville star Carter Faith shares her rendition of Addison Rae’s “Fame Is A Gun”—debuted live at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday—as part of Amazon Music’s “Amazon Originals” series. Listen exclusively on Amazon Music here.
Of the new version, Carter shares, “I had so much fun recording Addison Rae’s ‘Fame is a Gun’ with my producer Tofer Brown and my amazing band,” says Carter. “I really wanted to find a song that I loved and could put my own spin on, Addison’s album has been on repeat for me since it came out, so it was a no brainer to cover one of her songs. I love artists with a unique vision that is exciting to follow and watch unfold, she’s got that and I’m such a fan! I hope she loves our version.”
Alongside the release, Amazon Music unveiled Carter as their latest Breakthrough Artist. Emily Cohen Belote, global lead of country music programming at Amazon Music, remarks, “[Carter’s] songs feel both timeless and forward-looking—anchored in heartfelt storytelling while expanding what country music can sound and feel like. Carter’s artistry marks an exciting new chapter of honesty and innovation within the genre.”
The accolade continues a breakout year for Carter, who shared her highly anticipated debut album, Cherry Valley, earlier this month via Gatsby Records/MCA—get it here. The LP debuted to widespread critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Billboard, The Tennessean and American Songwriter, amongst others. She was also named Music Row’s 2025 Discovery Artist of the Year, shared stages across the country with Little Big Town, Marcus King, and Noah Cyrus, and announced her forthcoming acting debut in Netflix’s film Heartland, starring alongside Academy Award-winner Jessica Chastain.
Cherry Valley is a document of Carter’s time in Nashville, working chronologically through her breakout successes and gut-punching breakups, new loves and family dustups. It’s named for an imagined place, a road sign Carter once saw that came to signify her creative home, a sweet spot where her old school influences like Tammy Wynette, Nancy Sinatra, Pet Sounds and Revolver meet today’s country. The album synthesizes all that into a signature Carter Faith sound.
Critical acclaim for Cherry Valley…
“[The] rising country star’s excellent first record finds her navigating the turbulence of early adulthood, lost love, and the kind of over-the-top emotions (and irony) that come with life changes with an unmistakable country twang.”—Rolling Stone
“Whether the vibe is slinky and sultry or tender, the entire project feels like an instant classic, melding retro production and instrumentation with Faith’s singular perspectives.”—Billboard
“[Carter] embodies an ownership of the center square of the puzzle that country, folk and rock synergy has timelessly inspired.”—The Tennessean
“Few artists in her generation are blending drama, humor, and a robust set of references so stunningly.”—American Songwriter
“Cherry Valley is a triumph.”—Nashville Scene
“Carter Faith’s debut feels like an open diary, one that sets her apart as an artist unafraid of subtlety, in a world that often rewards noise.”—Holler
The songs on Cherry Valley span Carter’s journey from her North Carolina hometown to Nashville, with all the heartbreak, triumph and hazy nights in between. Carter and longtime producer Tofer Brown spent two years crafting tracks for the album before finally entering the studio in 2024 to lay it down. All the while, Carter was working relentlessly to climb the ranks of country music, signing to MCA and Universal Music Publishing Group, gracing the Opry stage a dozen times, sharing stages with idols like Willie Nelson, and racking up hundreds of millions of streams.
Following her Stagecoach debut and runs with Ella Langley and Carly Pearce, Carter joined Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild on the stage of the 18th Academy of Country Music Honors for a duet of “Lies Lies Lies” written by ACM Songwriter of the Year, Jessie Jo Dillon. Carter just completed a run on Noah Cyrus’ extensive I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me Tour and will perform at Red Bull Jukebox in Nashville before heading back out on the road with Kelsea Ballerini this winter. She’ll join Tucker Wetmore on his 2026 Brunette World Tour for dates across the EU and UK in April, as well as headliner Post Malone at Summerfest in June. See below for full routing.
